The Northern Territory [of Australia] is typified by red dust, soaring temperatures, plains and deep gorges. But if you head north – a lot north – to the north of Canada, the picture is completely different. Perched above the tree line, remote villages are home to the Inuit communities. These communities are seriously north, almost to the Arctic Circle and teacher Leonie Jones wanted to travel from Australia’s NT and visit Inuit schools in Canada’s NT.
