Department of Economic Development Combine innovative leadership with business acumen to develop the Yukon’s film and sound industries Location: Whitehorse, YT In this unique senior management position, you will helm the Yukon Film and Sound Commission. The role of the Commission is to lead, direct, implement and evaluate the development and provision of Yukon programs and services for film, sound and other cultural media. Your leadership style is creative and strategic-an ideal combination to stimulate and develop the film and sound industry in the Yukon. Leveraging excellent communication and facilitation skills, you will build trusting relationships and foster partnerships as a platform for attracting business. Your reputation for good judgment and sound decisions is well-earned. Equipped with post-secondary education in business, marketing, film, communications or a related field is supported by a strong background in the film industry, especially in location, unit and production management. A proven track record in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs, preferably in a government environment, and in managing financial and human resources is also expected. Experience in public relations and location marketing at a national and international level, or experience in the sound recording industry would enhance your candidacy. You can expect to travel within the territory, nationally and internationally. Salary: $85,402 to $117,286 per annum. Approved candidates will be provided reimbursement of interview/relocation expenses, if required, in accordance with the Interview & Relocation Expense Directive. We are the Yukon public service.
